Montevideo Police Chief Adam Christopher says he's waiting until a shooting victim is adequately recovered from her wounds to find out more about Tuesday morning's incident that left a man dead. 41-year-old Angela Haugerud was found wounded on the front step of her home at 103 South 4th Street shortly before 12 noon...

...Christopher says Haugerud was taken to the Montevideo Hospital and then flown to Hennepin County Medical Center where she underwent surgery Tuesday night. Inside the home they found 55-year-old David Schwartz of Foley, dead of a gunshot wound. He says while they got some info from Haugerud about what happened, investigators will talk more to her later...

...Christopher says Schwartz had a Foley address, but was actually living in a camper in Montevideo...

...There are reports Schwartz recently faced charges in another county of violating an order for protection filed by another woman. Christopher says the house where the shootings took place is quite familiar to the police...

...Christopher says their most recent contact with Haugerud was when her car was stolen. This incident is actively under investigation.
