(St. Paul, MN) -- A number of members of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party are launching a new effort to make sure all workers in the state have paid family and sick leave. It is believed over 100-thousand Minnesotans would benefit from such a program. It is estimated about 460-million dollars would be paid out each year. The proposed state insurance program would offer part of an employee's pay for medical issues, pregnancy, or taking care of a newborn or sick family member.
