(Blaine, MN) -- An annual PGA Tour event could be coming to Minnesota as early as next year. The "Minneapolis Star Tribune" reports event organizers of the tournament in Houston have until June 1st to find a new sponsor or lose the event to the TPC Twin Cities in Blaine. The 3M Championship tournament director, Hollis Cavner, says the tournament in Blaine would be played the week before the U.S. Open and 3M would be the title sponsor. Additionally, the 3M Championship on the Champions Tour would end after having been played at the course since 1993.
