(Braham, MN) -- The Kanabec County Sheriff's Office is reporting that a teen driver missed a stop sign, leading to a crash that killed her and her boyfriend near Mora. Authorities say 18-year-old Alexis Hasser was driving north on Rainbow Street on Saturday morning and collided with an eastbound pickup at the intersection of 195th Avenue, about seven miles east of Mora. Sixteen-year-old Gavin Butenhoff was declared dead at the scene. Hasser was taken to the hospital, where she later died. The crash is still under investigation and authorities have not ruled out driver distraction or impairment. The occupants of the pickup were taken to the hospital with noncritical injuries.
