2535 more cases of COVID-19 reported Thursday, 14 more deaths including Stearns County victim

(St. Paul MN-) The Minnesota Department of Health Thursday again reported new cases of COVID-19 in the 2000-plus range. There were 2535 additional cases, bringing the state to more than 535,000 cases since the pandemic began a little more than a year ago. Of that number, nearly 511,000 victims have recovered. The MDH reported 14 more deaths from the coronavirus, including a victim in their early 80s in Stearns County, and putting the state's death toll at 6922. The figures were based on approximately 34,300 test results.

Locally, Stearns County reported 79 cases, there were 22 in Kandiyohi, 9 in Renville, 8 in Meeker, 4 in Pope, 2 in Chippewa and a single case reported in Swift County.
