6 Stearns County residents succumb to COVID-19-related illness

(St. Paul MN-) The Minnesota Department of Health Thursday reported 6 COVID-19-related deaths in Stearns County. The victims ranged in age from the early 40s to the early 80s. A person from McLeod County in their late 90s also died, and they were among 52 deaths reported statewide. As for additional cases and re-infections of COVID-19, the MDH Thursday reported 11,510 statewide, with 290 from Stearns County, 16 from Kandiyohi, 14 from Meeker, 13 from Renville, 7 from both Pope and Chippewa, and zero additional cases of coronavirus from Swift County. The figures were based on just over 72,000 test results.

Pandemic totals: 1,126,697 cases, 10,939 deaths, 1,054,656 recoveries, and 55.9% of eligible Kandiyohi County residents have had at least their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
