Another death attributed to COVID-19 in Renville County

(Olivia MN-) Renville County has recorded it's fifth COVID-19 death since the pandemic began in January. County Public Health Director Jill Bruns says the person was in their 90s and died in a long term care facility in May, but it took awhile for it to be attributed to Renville County, which also recorded one additional case of the coronavirus, putting them at 54. The Minnesota Department of Health says Kandiyohi County had 3 more cases, bringing the total to 653. Stearns County is at 2763 cases after 5 more were reported Thursday. There was one more in Meeker County, putting them at 83. Swift County remains at 51 and Chippewa County stays at 92 with no additional cases reported.

Statewide there were 745 additional cases, putting the total at 53692, and 5 more deaths, bringing the total to 1594.

As of Thursday, 298 people are hospitalized, 141 are in the ICU, and 46,965 have recovered.
