COVID-19 case numbers continue to shrink

(St. Paul MN-) The number of new COVID-19 cases in Minnesota continues to shrink. The Minnesota Department of Health says the state reported 245 new cases and 9 more deaths Tuesday, bringing the totals to 33,469 and 1393 respectively.

29,399 people have recovered, 339 are hospitalized and 158 are in the ICU.

Locally, Kandiyohi County had it's first additional reported case since Saturday, putting it at 561 cases. Stearns County had two additional cases and is at 2139. Chippewa County had 2 more cases and is now at 69, and Renville County had 2 more cases, bringing their total to 18, and they also recorded their first COVID-19-related death over the weekend, a person in their 90s.
