COVID-19-related deaths reported in Chippewa, Swift and Stearns Counties

(Montevideo MN-) Chippewa, Stearns and Swift Counties all reported COVID-19-related deaths on Sunday. The Minnesota Department of Health says Chippewa reported it's 7th death since the start of the pandemic, a person in their early 50s. The Swift County victim was that county's 4th and was a person in their early 80s. And three people died in Stearns County, bringing their death toll to 74. The victims ranged in age form the mid-60s to the late 90s. Statewide there were 31 more deaths reported to the Minnesota Department of Health, putting the state's death toll now at 2905.

As for additional cases of coronavirus, there were 7559 reported in Minnesota Sunday. The state's total is now at 223,581, and of that number, 172,873 have recovered. There was also a record number of test results reported, just over 60,300.

Locally, Stearns County reported 151 more cases, there were 88 in Kandiyohi, 24 in Meeker, 16 in Pope, 15 in Swift, 11 in Chippewa and 10 more cases reported in Renville County.
