(St. Paul MN-) The COVID-19 numbers released by the Minnesota Department of Health Tuesday showed low numbers of deaths and additional cases, but due to Labor Day, there were only 7357 tests conducted which is less than half the normal amount in the state. That being said, there were 387 additional cases reported, bringing the pandemic total to 81,608, and 2 more deaths, putting the state's death toll at 1862.
257 people are hospitalized, 135 are in the ICU, and 74,235 patients have recovered.
Locally, there were zero additional cases reported in Chippewa, Kandiyohi and Meeker Counties. Pope and Renville had 1 addtional case, 2 more in Swift and 9 more cases of coronavirus were reported Tuesday in Stearns County.
There haven't been any additional COVID-19-related deaths reported in any of our local counties for the last two weeks.
