Just 3 more COVID-19-related deaths reported in Minnesota Monday

(St. Paul MN-) Keeping in mind Monday's numbers tend to be lower than the rest of the week, The Minnesota Department of Health reports 1105 additional cases of COVID-19 and 3 more deaths. That brings the state's pandemic death toll to 7163, and a total of just over 580,000 cases. Of that number, more than 559,000 victims have recovered. The figures are based on approximately 16,000 test results.

Locally, Stearns County reported 26 more cases of coronavirus. There were 12 in Pope, 11 in Kandiyohi, 7 in Meeker, 5 in Renville, 1 in Chippewa and zero additional cases reported Monday in Swift County. With just over 16,000, the department of health says 48% of the residents of Kandiyohi County have had at least their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
