Just under 1300 new cases of COVID-19 report in MN Monday

(St. Paul MN-) Keeping in mind Monday numbers are usually on the low side, the Minnesota Department of Health today reported 1292 additional cases of COVID-19, bringing the state's pandemic total to nearly 558,000. Of that number, more than 532,000 victims have recovered. There were 6 additional COVID-19-related deaths reported, putting the state's death toll at 7026. The figures were based on approximately 19,600 test results.

Locally, there were 44 cases reported in Stearns County, 13 in Kandiyohi, 2 in Chippewa, 1 in Swift, and zero additional cases of coronavirus reported in Pope and Renville Counties. The Department of Health says as of Saturday 45% of Kandiyohi County residents have had at least the first dose of vaccine.
