(St. Paul MN-) Big testing numbers turned up big COVID-19 numbers by the Minnesota Department of Health Saturday. A record 31,100 people were tested on Friday, and as a result, a record number of new cases were reported. There were 1478 cases, putting the state's pandemic total at 95,659. And with 10 more deaths, the state's death toll crossed the 2000 mark and now sits at 2004.
85,259 have recovered, 2 people have been admitted to the hospital and 3 were admitted to the ICU.
Locally, Kandiyohi County crossed the 1000 case thresh hold and is now at 1011 after 29 more cases were reported Saturday. 60 were reported in Stearns County, 6 in Chippewa, 4 in Meeker and Renville, 2 in pope and one additional case of coronavirus in Swift County.
