(St. Paul MN-) Keeping in mind Monday numbers are usually lower than the rest of the week, The Minnesota Department of Health has reported only 2 additional COVID-19-related deaths. That follows 7 deaths on both Saturday and Sunday. Minnesota's pandemic death toll now stands at 6378. There were 611 additional cases of coronavirus reported Monday, bringing the state's total now to just over 474,000, and of that number, nearly 461,000 victims have recovered. The figures were based on approximately 17,300 test results.
Locally, the MDH Monday reported 9 more cases in Stearns County, 6 in Kandiyohi, 4 in Renville, 1 each in Chippewa, Meeker and Pope, and zero additional cases in Swift County.
As of Saturday more than 675,000 Minnesotan's have had at least their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, including 5735 in Kandiyohi County, which is 13.4% of the county's population.
