(St. Cloud MN-) Stearns County continues to show a sizable uptick in COVID-19 cases. According to the Minnesota Department of Health, Stearns County reported 37 additional cases Tuesday, bringing their total to 2265. In April and May Stearns County saw an outbreak at the Pilgrim's Pride plant in Cold Spring, but things had cooled off, but last week the numbers started to go up again.
Kandiyohi County has had it's second day in a row with no additional cases and stands at 565 cases. No cases either in Renville County, which reported it's second COVID-19 death yesterday, and Chippewa County had one more case and is now at 75.
Statewide, the department of health says there were 6 more deaths reported connected to coronavirus, bringing the state's death toll to 1441. There were 444 more cases reported, putting the state's pandemic total at 36,303. 31,601 have recovered, 270 are hospitalized and 136 are in the ICU.
