The Minnesota Department of Health Tuesday reported 22 COVID-19-related deaths, with local victims in Kandiyohi and Meeker Counties. The person who died in Kandiyohi County was in their late 60s, and was that county's 23rd COVID-19 victim. The person who died in Meeker County was their 10th fatality, and was in their early 80s.
There were 3,570 additional cases of coronavirus reported on Tuesday, bringing the state's pandemic total to 322,312. Of that number, 279,540 have recovered. The figures were based on 22,000 test results.
Locally there were 152 more cases reported in Stearns County, 79 in Kandiyohi, 25 in Meeker, 19 in Renville, 17 in Chippewa, 7 in Swift and 4 in Pope County.
