(St. Paul, MN) -- Governor Tim Walz and his counterparts in Wisconsin and Michigan are asking the federal government to tell Pfizer where to send millions of COVID vaccine doses awaiting shipment -- or allow states to purchase the vaccines directly. Walz says he's "fit to be tied" after the Trump administration promised to release vaccine doses held in reserve for second shots, but the Washington Post reported the reserve was already exhausted. The governor said, "they knew when they told us they were gonna release 'em they didn't have any. Who does that?" The Trump administration’s initial policy was to hold back second doses to protect against manufacturing disruptions, but that approach shifted in recent weeks.
