(St. Paul, MN) -- State health officials are confirming four more flu-related deaths over the last week. A total of 16 Minnesotans have died of influenza complications since the flu season began in the fall. There were only seven total fatalities all last season. Eighty more people were hospitalized with the flu the week ending January 8th. Flu outbreaks were reported in three schools and 21 nursing homes. Influenza activity is still considered "minimal" in Minnesota.
