(Spicer MN-) The Spicer Commercial Club is keeping some of it's 4th of July Celebration events, and some have been cancelled. The street dance, parade and flea market will not be taking place, however there will still be the fireworks display at dusk at Saulsbury Beach on Green Lake. On Saturday morning there will be a boat parade starting at 10 a.m., and people have been decorating their homes and businesses in Spicer for the 4th. And Green Lake Road Race Director Dan Hubbard says on Sunday will be the Green Lake Road Race. Hubbard says Governor Walz is limiting outdoor gatherings to 25 people, making it hard to run a race with up to 250 participants. He says to remedy that, they will be starting runners in groups of ten...
...There is also a 4th of July celebration taking place in Prinsburg...
-People are encouraged to participate in a virtual fun run and can register through today on the Prinsburg Central Minnesota Christian School website and you will recieve a free race t-shirt.
-at 3 p.m. today there is a golf scramble at Stoney Creek,
-at 8:30 tonight there are drive-through treats at the Christian School's main entrance
-at 10 tonight there will be fireworks...people are encouraged to watch them from their cars or trucks.
-From 7 to 930 a.m. there is a community pancake breakfast at Unity Christian Reformed Church
-from 8 to 10 a.m. there will be a community prayer walk
-at 10 there will be a Praise and Worship Service
-and from 1130 to 1 there will be a hot dog takeout/brat dinner at The First Church concession area
And in Willmar Saturday will be the 30 for Freedom Run. Runners can chose a 5k, 10k, half marathon or 30 mile run for the freedom of sex trafficking victims. The race begins at 8 a.m. Robbins Island near the beach.
