(St. Paul, MN) -- St. Paul police report seven people were injured in three separate shooting incidents Saturday night and Sunday morning. No names have been released. Police say two men in their mid-20s say they were approached by three men at about 11:30 p-m Saturday. The two men had valid permits to carry weapons, so when the three opened fire, they fired back. No one was hit, but bullets hit an elementary school and several vehicles. Two hours later, officers following up on gunshots they had heard discovered three wounded victims at a gas station. Then, 30 minutes after that, four people were wounded when someone started shooting at people at a house party attended by about 100 partiers. All victims are expected to recover. No arrests have been announced.
Police Chief Todd Axtell said in 32 years on the job he's never seen violence on this scale in a single night.
