(Willmar MN-) A Willmar man arrested after allegedly pointing a gun at police officers last August has a court appearance today in Kandiyohi County District Court. Police say 41-year-old Justin Quigley was drunk August 14th when they gave him a ride home from the Willmar American Legion. They say when they got to his house in Southwest Willmar he became combative, kicked a police officer, ran into the house and later appeared at a window pointing a gun at officers. Quigley faces a felony charge of 1st Degree Assault-Use of Deadly Force Against a Peace Officer and gross misdemeanor 4th Degree Assault-Physically Assaulting a Peace Officer.
A contested omnibus hearing takes place this afternoon in which different legal issues connected to the case will be discussed before Judge Stephen Wentzel. Quigley is currently free on $50,000 unconditional bail.
