(Duluth, MN) -- The Duluth Aerial Lift Bridge is being lit purple during the coronavirus stay-at-home order. It's part of an effort to brighten people's minds amid self isolation and anxiety about COVID-19. Mayor Emily Larson said it's a project that's been in the works for a long time. She called it,"one way we could offer a little joy to the community." The new L-E-D lights are also helping the city meet energy goals. They can change colors and Mayor Larson said, "You can social distance and see that bridge. It's the color of the Minnesota Vikings and Prince."
