Education Minnesota

(St. Paul, MN) -- The state's largest teachers union says Minnesota's projected 641-million-dollar budget surplus should be used to fully fund public education. Education Minnesota President Denise Specht said state leaders "should support the people who have suffered the most during the ongoing pandemic." Specht says Minnesotans must insist lawmakers make students a top priority. Some of the budget surplus will likely be part of a relief package for small businesses struggling due to COVID-19.
