(St. Paul, MN) -- The state's flu death toll continues to rise. The weekly update shows four more Minnesotans have died of influenza complications for a total of 22 this season. There were only seven flu-related deaths last season. Forty-two patients were hospitalized with the flu last week. There have been 473 hospitalizations since October. Thirty schools reported flu outbreaks in the last week and there were five in Minnesota nursing homes. Influenza activity is considered minimal in the state.
