(St. Paul, MN) -- A former Glenwood postal worker is pleading to federal charges for stealing more than 100-thousand dollars in government funds. Fifty-seven-year-old Lisa Schafer admitted to claiming Federal Employees Compensation Act benefits from 2015 through 2019 by falsely claiming a work-related injury. Prosecutors say Schafer was seen participating in dog-agility competitions where she was running, bending and using large arm movements to navigate dogs through exercises during that time. Schafer received total of 108-thousand dollars in benefits that she knew she was not entitled to.
