(Granite Falls MN-) A Granite Falls man was injured when he was struck by an SUV which then fled the scene early Sunday morning. The Granite Falls Police Department says 55-year-old Erwin Rendon was struck in the 1100 Block of Granite Street just before 1 a.m. Police later spoke to a man who was a passenger in the Chevy Tahoe, which police quickly located and arrested the driver, 27-year-old Alan De Los Santos of Granite Falls on criminal vehicular operation charges. The hit-and-run victim, Erwin Rendon, was not found where he was allegedly struck, and area police, fire and ambulance crews conducted a search and eventually found him at a home on 6th Street. He was suffering from injuries to his face, head and legs. Rendon was taken to the Granite Falls Hospital and later airlifted to an unnamed Twin Cities Hospital. His current condition is unknown.
