(St. Paul, MN) -- State Human Services Commissioner Jodi Harpstead is giving a 90-day progress report on the troubled agency today in the Minnesota Senate (Tuesday 10 a-m). Republicans want accountability for past mistakes at D-H-S including tens of millions of dollars in payment errors. Harpstead told a House committee last week that no one in the department has been disciplined for decisions made many years ago. G-O-P Senator Michelle Benson from Ham Lake says that's "just shocking" to the average Minnesotan. Harpstead says new procedures mean the D-H-S going forward will know who made every decision.
