(Montevideo MN-) The Chippewa County Sheriff's Department has released the names of two Sioux Falls South Dakota residents who died of gunshot wounds over the weekend. Sheriff Derek Olson says the victims are 42-year-old Andy Wilcox and his girlfriend, 41-year-old Charity Hoffelt. The sheriff says at noon Sunday they were contacted by Wilcox' family who were concerned that he may be suicidal. Deputies found the couple in a secluded area west of the Sparta Cemetery near Montevideo. Hoffelt was dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Wilcox had been shot in the head and was flown by helicopter to North Memorial Medical Center in The Twin Cities where he was declared dead. The manner of his death is still under investigation. The incident is still under investigation but the sheriff's office says the public is not at risk.
