(Minneapolis, MN) -- Lawmakers are scrutinizing a "Snowbate" given by the Minnesota Film and TV Board to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The program received 267-thousand dollars to defray the costs of filming their after Super Bowl broadcast in Minneapolis in 2018. Board official Melodie Bahan said yesterday that the initiative to bring film and TV production to Minnesota needs to be reformed but ultimately expanded. Bahan said NBC qualified for the rebate and was paid as required by law.
