...Senator Andrew Lang of Olivia says he was unhappy House leaders changed pre-agreed-upon language in the bill, sent it to The Senate, then adjourned, preventing The Senate from sending it back to them. Lang also says The Senate gave up using their votes for the bill as leverage against Governor Walz to force him to give up his powers of peacetime emergency to deal with the coronavirus. Lang says it became clear Walz was not going to do so...

...Lang says the bill includes money for new gymnasiums at the Prairie Lakes Juvenile Programs and the CABHs Hospital in Willmar, and no money to help Minneapolis rebuild after the May George Floyd Riots, although it does have money to reimburse some of the state and local law enforcement agencies for extra costs incurred fighting the riots.
