(St. Cloud, MN) -- An Alexandria man who stole a car and shot a Stearns County deputy with a bow is sentenced to nearly 16 years in prison. Thirty-two-year-old Ramey Olson pleaded guilty to three felonies after a passing a mental competency examination. Olson stole a pickup in Alexandria, drove to Sauk Centre and crashed into a building and parked trailer, then into a nearby garage. Olson entered a home where he found a compound bow and shot at officers who returned fire, hitting Olson in the left shoulder, butt and his hand.
