(St. Paul, MN) -- Top hospital officials from across the state are begging Minnesotans to follow new COVID restrictions, plus use masks and social-distancing. Doctor Cindy Firkins Smith with Carris Health in Willmar says CentraCare has 12-hundred staff in rural Minnesota out with COVID, on quarantine, or taking care of family members. Firkins Smith said, "they're sick of this virus. They're sick of it, just like everybody else and, beyond that, they're exhausted -- and we don't have anybody to replace them." Doctor Firkins Smith says, "don't call health workers heroes if you can't put a piece of cloth or paper over your face to protect them."
