(St. Paul, MN) -- An appeal by three former University of Minnesota in a discrimination case is at an end. The Minnesota Supreme Court rejected the appeal yesterday of the lawsuit that alleged discrimination based on gender and sexual orientation. Women's hockey coach Shannon Miller, softball coach Jen Banford, and women's basketball coach Annette Wiles initially sued in federal court in 2015, where most of their claims were dismissed in February 2018. The state Supreme Court's decision doesn't affect the multimillion-dollar amount a federal court previously granted Miller.
