(St. Paul MN-) Minnesota’s unemployment rate dropped substantially in September, down to six-percent from 7.4 percent in August. DEED Commissioner Steve Grove says the drop was caused in large part due to a dip in the state’s labor force participation rate. Grove says it’s too soon to tell if this trend will hold steady. He says the numbers have been jumping around a lot. Overall between February and August, the state had only lost 10,000 people out of the labor force.
