(St. Paul, MN) - A nearly $2 billion bonding bill passed after lengthy debate Wednesday night in the Minnesota House on a vote of 100-34. The long-delayed bill will help pay for public works, infrastructure and construction projects around the state. The bill's chief author, Representative Mary Murphy of Hermantown:

25 Republicans voted with House-majority Democrats to pass the bill. The Republican-led Senate is set to take up the bill today (THU 11 am). Senator Michelle Benson cautioned last night that the House made changes to the bill without previously agreed-upon language.
