(St. Paul, MN) -- For the second year in a row, MnDOT is hosting a "name a snowplow" contest. Now through December 15th anyone can submit up to three snow-plow name ideas online that will then be sorted into a pool of 50 finalists. Voting will take place in January. MnDOT says each submission is limited to 30 characters including spaces and specifically stated politically inspired names will not be considered. Ideas can be submitted online at MnDOT's website. Last year there were eight winning snowplow names for each maintenance district in the state. Two of the favorites were "Plow Bunyan" and "Snowbi Wan Kenobi."
