(Montevideo MN-) A Montevideo man has a court appearance this afternoon on criminal vehicular homicide charges after a fatal crash near Watson last summer. On August 8th of last year, 34-year-old Braxton Anderson made a sharp left turn in front of an oncoming SUV on Highway 7/59. The SUV hit the passenger side of Anderson's car, killing his passenger, 20-year-old Brittany Schulz of Appleton. Anderson and the people in the SUV were also injured. Officials say at the time of the crash, Anderson was driving under the influence of methamphetamine. He has been charged in Chippewa County District Court on 2 charges of Criminal Vehicular Homicide, 2 charges of Criminal Vehicular Operation, and one count of 4th Degree Driving Under the Influence and appears for an omnibus hearing in Chippewa County District Court at 330 this afternoon.
