(St. Cloud, MN) -- The Minnesota National Guard released the names of the three soldiers killed in a helicopter crash Thursday afternoon. Thirty-year-old Chief Warrant Officer Charles Paul Nord of Perham, 28-year-old Chief Warrant Officer James A. Rogers Jr. of Winstead, and 28-year-old Sergeant Kort Miller Plantenberg of Avon died when their helicopter crashed in rural Stearns County during a maintenance test flight. Nord had been in the guard the longest, enlisting in 2007 while Rogers enlisted 2009 and Plantenberg joined in 2016.
