...Hoffman Construction is based in Black River Falls Wisconsin. The contract was for just under 34 million dollars. Rasmussen says Bolton and Menk of Willmar will be the design consultant, and Lunda Construction of Wisconsin will do the bridge construction. Rasmussen says work will begin this spring, but due to the difficulty in reaching the Master Agreement, they are a little behind schedule...

...Later this spring they will start building the new Highway 12 slightly to the south of the current route, and they will begin work on Highway 40 to build up the elevation for the new bridge. Rasmussen says it will be the beginning of some big changes on the west side of the city, resulting in fewer trains coming into Willmar...

...Rasmussen says if all goes as planned, the roads and bridges will be done sometime in The Summer of 2021, and the rail work will take place in the Summers of 2021 and 2022.
