(Willmar MN-) The suspect in the shooting incident involving a Willmar Police Officer appeared in Kandiyohi County District Court Wednesday morning. 36-year-old Esteban Ramos Jr. of Raymond is being charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, 1st Degree Assault-Use of Deadly Force Against a Peace Officer, 2nd Degree Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Discharge of a Dangerous Weapon in an Unsafe Manner, and Fleeing a Police Officer. All except the fleeing charge are felonies. Ramos was given a Public Defender, and unconditional bail was set at $750,000. His next court appearance takes place February 1st.
