Recycle

(Willmar MN-) On Saturday a lot of people will be getting rid of cans, bottles and paper they've storing for 2 months since Kandiyohi County ended it's curbside and drop-off recycling program. Jay Baker is the county's Household Hazardous Waste and Recycling Coordinator, and says on Saturday from 8 a.m to noon they will be opening up the recycling center for people to drop off their materials...

...Baker says they will be doing it again June 20th, July 11th and July 25th. By August or September Kandiyohi County will be going with curbside single-sort recycling. West Central Sanitation will be dropping off 95-gallon carts for people to put their recyclables in, and they will be picked up every other week in cities and once-a-month in rural areas. The drop off events are for residential only, not commercial. The Kandiyohi County Recycling Center is on 22nd Street Southwest, across the street from Taunton Stadium.
