Meeker County Sheriff

(Ellsworth Township, Meeker County MN)-- On Wednesday afternoon at approximately 2:33 p.m. the Meeker County Sheriff's Office received a report of an RV camper on fire next to the owner's garage located at a residence in the 66600 block of 180th Street, in Ellsworth Township. Meeker County Sheriff's Deputies arrived to find the RV was fully engulfed and the fire had spread to a detached garage on the property. The RV and property are owned by 63 year old Susan Dague, and 67 year old Randy Dague. The initial investigation revealed the fire was likely caused by electrical issues. The RV and garage along with miscellaneous tools in the garage were a total loss. Three Dassel fire fighters and one Hutchinson fire fighter were transported to the Hutchinson Hospital by Allina Ambulance for heat exhaustion. No other injuries were reported. Assisting the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office was Dassel Fire and Rescue, Hutchinson Fire, Cokato Fire and Litchfield Fire responded.
