(Willmar MN-) People can get a glimpse of how area companies view the current conditions for manufacturing Tuesday at Ridgewater College in Willmar. The group Enterprise Minnesota conducted a survey, and CEO Bill Kill will present The State of Manufacturing Tuesday beginning at 9 a.m. at the Ridgewater College Student Center, Room A240. Earlier, Kill said "Despite economic uncertainty, Minnesota manufacturers are thriving and feeling confident about the futures of their companies. But the biggest factor casting a shadow on that enthusiasm is the ongoing worker shortage, which has no end in sight."
The event is open to manufacturers and everyone connected to the industry.
After Kill's presentation there will be a discussion about the survey results. Area business and community leaders are expected to participate, including Bruce Bergeson of Minnesota River Valley CTE Collaborative and Jeff Pattison, West Central Steel, both of Willmar, along with Allan Cronen of GVL Poly of Litchfield, Tara Onken from The City of Marshall and Rhonda Gass with Falcon Industries of Cosmos.
