State Capital

(St. Paul, MN) -- Some young people concerned about climate change skipped classes Friday to go to the Minnesota State Capitol for workshops and a sit-in. One student says, "we need big systematic change right now", as the “climate crisis is so drastic and we're clearly running out of time. We're almost out of time." Students are also asking the state to stop investing in the fossil fuel industry. Teens in Rochester asked the city council to pass a resolution declaring a climate change emergency and eliminating all greenhouse emissions in that city by 2030.
