(St. Paul MN-) St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter is speaking out after three shooting deaths occurred in the city Monday night over a nine-hour period. Officers called to Regions Hospital around 12:15 yesterday morning learned two men arrived with gunshot wounds (Tuesday). One suffered non-life threatening injuries and the other victim died. In another incident, a good Samaritan was shot in the head Monday night while trying to assist a driver involved in a four-vehicle crash. A suspect has been arrested in his murder. In a third incident, an 18-year-old man was shot and killed Monday afternoon while walking on a sidewalk on Rice Street. Two suspects have been arrested in that case.
