(St. Paul, MN) -- Tim Walz will take the oath of office today as the 41st governor of Minnesota and Peggy Flanagan will be sworn in as the first Native American lieutenant governor. Other statewide office holders will also take part in the swearing-in ceremony at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul (Monday 11 A-M). Walz says he and his family plan to move into the Governor's Residence Wednesday. The Walz administration will be working with the only split legislature in the nation. Democrats take control of the Minnesota House Tuesday while Republicans hold a two-vote majority in the Senate. A public inaugural reception is being held this afternoon in the State Capitol Rotunda (Monday 3 to 5 P-M).
