Little Crow

(Willmar MN-) After two weeks without a show, The Little Crow Water Ski Team is putting on a show tonight at Robbins Island Park in Willmar. The team has been crippled by high water levels that caused the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Department to declare a no-wake restriction the The Crow River and several lakes. Little Crow's Stu Giere (GEAR-ee) says the show, at Robbins Island Beach, starts at 7:30 p.m. Bring your own chair or blanket. He says it is open to all, and free will donations will be accepted...

...Giere says in terms of revenue, they lost whatever gate they would have received from last Friday's show, but the first show of the year, on the 31st, was going to be free. Giere says they've been able to rehearse their comedy acts on shore and some of the skiing elements on other area lakes, but it's not the same...

...Giere says if the no-wake restriction is lifted next week, they willl likely do a show at Neer Park on the 21st, and then the Willmar Fest show on the 22nd, but doesn't think they would do back to back shows at Robbins Island if the restriction on The Crow River remains in place. This is the 40-year anniversary season for the Little Crow Water Ski Team. Sheriff Eric Holien says he's gathering info today and may make a decision on the no wake restrictions soon.
