TV icon William Shatner is in Minnesota this weekend for GalaxyCon--a pop culture convention in Minneapolis. Shatner says he's proud of the legacy of Star Trek and, "you know Star Trek begat a lot of this science fiction world and it's a pleasure to go to a place like Minneapolis and see 25,000 people turn out."
Shatner says even after all theses years, he loves talking to fans about the show that first made him famous, "Star Trek is a point of pride with me, not something I'm tired of, I'm enthused by it all the time."
Other celebrities expected to attend include Star Trek's George Tekei, Lou Ferrigno and many cast members of the 90s film Mallrats--which was filmed in Minnesota. GalaxyCon is being held at the Minneapolis Convention Center. For more information, visit galaxycon.com.
