Jeffrey Dean “Animal” Roschild, age 57, of Renville died unexpectedly at his home south of Renville on Friday, May 31, 2019. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2019, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Renville. The Rev. Joseph Abrahamson will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Renville. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and will continue on Thursday one hour prior to the services all at the church in Renville. Arrangements are with Dirks-Blem Funeral Service, Renville, MN.
Jeffrey Dean “Animal” Roschild was born on December 1, 1961, in Olivia, Minnesota to Maynard and Veronica (Kubesh) Roschild. As a child, he and his family lived on a farm south of Danube, they later moved to Renville and Jeff attended school there, graduating in 1980. While in school, he played football, earning a letter and award. After high school, he began working as a coal handler at Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Co-op. With his self-determination and knowledge, Jeff worked his way to Boiler House foreman and remained so until his death. Jeff lived on a farm south of Renville with his brother Lester. He enjoyed spending time at Sinclair Lewis Park in Sauk Centre camping and fishing. He enjoyed working on his tractors, biking, and spending time with his family, friends, and his dog Penny. His kind hearted fun loving personality and unique one of a kind laugh will be missed.
He is survived by his parents Maynard and Veronica of Renville, his brothers: Terry (and Terri) of Renville, Lester of Renville, and Daryl (and Linda) of Renville; his nieces and nephews: Tracy (and Tommy) Johnson, Adam (and Kay) Roschild, Amber (and Bronson) Hoff, Amanda (and Jason) Plotz, Allison (and friend Jorden Jones) Roschild, Zachary Roschild, and Michael (and Pam) Roschild; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Ronald and his niece Jacque (Roschild) Svard.
