The following are general contest rules that cover most contests and promotions conducted by Lakeland Broadcasting stations KWLM, Q102, Big Country, and the Train. Some individual contests may have additions or subtractions that would be linked through said contest.

1. Eligibility

A. Lakeland Broadcasting contests are open to all legal U.S Residents except full or part-time employees of Lakeland Broadcasting, its subsidiaries, their families, participating sponsors and promotional partners. Other radio stations in the Willmar area and the members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win.

B. No purchase is necessary to play and win.

C. No more than one member of a household is eligible to win or participate in a contest sponsored by Lakeland Broadcasting within a thirty-day period.

D. Persons must be at least 18 years of age to play, unless specified otherwise.

E. No Purchase Necessary. Void where prohibited.

F. No prior employees or people that have been employed by Lakeland Broadcasting within twelve months of contest date are eligible.

G. To participate, contestants should call the phone number mentioned on the air, unless otherwise specified. In most of the Lakeland Broadcasting area this is a free call and does not require dialing an area code. If you doubt, check with your local telephone service provider.

H. Members of the Lakeland Broadcasting database may be automatically entered for any contest aired on Lakeland Broadcasting or advertised on the station's website.

2. The Prizes and Taxes

A. Values are subject to change at discretion of Lakeland Broadcasting and all parties involved.

B. Prizes are non-refundable and non-transferable.

C. NO SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED.

D. All daily qualifying prizes expire 30 days from date won, or on date of event.

E. Winner is solely responsible for:

1. Transportation to and from any location, unless specified otherwise by Lakeland Broadcasting.

2. All taxes incurred on all prizes won.

3. Providing Valid Identification in order to claim prize, travel or fly, within or out of the United States.

3. Winner Release

By playing this contest, contestants give Lakeland Broadcasting permission to use his or her names and/or any likeness in any photographs, print, video, or audio tapes for publicity purposes with no further compensation.

4. List of Winners

A list of prize winners will be available after all prizes are given away and may be obtained by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Lakeland Broadcasting Promotions, Box 838, Willmar, MN 56201.

5. Claiming the Prize

A. Winner must provide two forms of valid identification (drivers license, birth certificate, state-issued ID, social security card, major credit card) to claim their prize.

B. Lakeland Broadcasting is not required to honor other forms of identification or any identification that has been tampered with or altered.

C. Winner must claim prize at the Lakeland Broadcasting studios, 1340 North 7th Street, Willmar, MN, 56201 weekdays between the hours of 8:00 am and 5pm, (excluding Holidays and Weekends)

D. Winner must sign claim sheet after proof of ID is shown, accepting all prizes won, and in doing so acknowledges any and all tax liability.

E. Winners are required to sign a release form agreeing to release and hold harmless Lakeland Broadcasting, its officers, directors, employees, sponsors, partners, agents, assigns and affiliated companies from attorney fee, as a result of participation in the contest and/or use of the prize.

6. Shot Caller Clause

A. Lakeland Broadcasting is not held liable in the event of legal problems during travel.

B. Lakeland Broadcasting is not held liable in the event or any personal injury or property damage after prize has been accepted.

C. Lakeland Broadcasting is not held liable in the event of any technical problems with the phone line, during a call in contest or otherwise.

D. Lakeland Broadcasting is not held liable for improper identification while traveling in, leaving or entering the United States.

E. In the event that the required transportation is missed, Lakeland Broadcasting is not held liable for additional costs of travel.

F. All decisions made by Lakeland Broadcasting management are final.

F. All rules are subject to change at any time with or without prior notice.

H. Contest can be terminated by Lakeland Broadcasting at any time without prior notice.

I. Lakeland Broadcasting shall have the sole right to interpret the rules.

J. Lakeland Broadcasting’s interpretation of the rules shall be final and binding upon all participants.

7. Social Media Contests

A. Contests conducted through Facebook are in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. 

B. Contests conducted through Instagram are in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram. By participating in Lakeland Broadcasting promotions on Instagram, contestant agrees to a complete release of Instagram.

Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited. Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.
